Propel Alliance is a dedicated collaboration of certified educators and industry professionals committed to inspiring the next generation of innovators. We host dynamic programs focused on web, game, and application development for youth ages 7 to 17, introducing them to logical thinking at an early age to enhance their problem-solving skills across all areas of learning.

Ronald Beck
Chairman | AP & Cybersecurity Educator
Ronald Beck is a passionate, experienced, and certified higher education Computer Science educator with over a decade of teaching AP GT students in Katy ISD and computer science for HCC. With a deep love for technology and education, he has dedicated his career to helping students master Java, problem-solving, and algorithmic thinking. Beyond the classroom, Ronald enjoys mentoring students of all ages in programming and preparing them for real-world challenges and future careers in tech.
Ronald earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree from the University of Houston-Victoria. Always eager to learn, he is particularly interested in expanding his expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and educational technology to better equip students for the digital world.
Outside of work, Ronald enjoys traveling and camping with family, embracing the outdoors as a way to recharge.
Glen Penfield
Board Member | Chief Marketing Officer & AI Educator
Glen Penfield is a passionate advocate for technology-driven education and youth empowerment. He plays a vital role in guiding strategic initiatives that bridge the digital divide and bring cutting-edge technology to underserved children.
With a distinguished career with S&P Global, and over a decade of experience, Glen has led transformative projects that foster innovation and accessibility. Trained in engaging with Copilot and other AI’s, Glen brings his experience and knowledge to help guide Propel Alliance on making an impact.
Glen believes in the power of technology to unlock potential and inspire the next generation of creators, innovators, and leaders. Through his dedication, the Propel Alliance will continue to expand access to technology education for youth everywhere.
Beyond his leadership at Propel Alliance, Glen leads seasonal children neighborhood events, and serves as 3rd grade Sunday school teacher with his wife. Outside of work, Glen enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and reading.
Jerome Cordova
Board Member | Computer Science & Mathematics Educator
Jerome Cordova is a dedicated educator with a decade of experience teaching Computer Science and Mathematics at Katy ISD. With expertise spanning Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus and all levels of Computer Science, Jerome is committed to fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
Holding a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Houston, Jerome is currently pursuing a degree in Data Science to further expand their knowledge in emerging technologies.
Outside of teaching, Jerome enjoys spending time outdoors with his three children, playing music, and staying active through soccer and basketball. Passionate about lifelong learning and innovation, he strives to equip students with the tools to succeed in an ever-evolving digital world.
